Who Has Two Thumbs, is 45 and Thin as a Stick? This Girl.

So says Little Monster, anyway.

As you all know, yesterday was Mother's Day.

Little Monster made me some cards and such at school. I thought I'd post some for you.

In this one, apparently I'm 45, stick thin and bald with no face.  Which is way better than the 52 years old her friend's mother is.  And I'm super healthy- my favorite food is strawberries.  In the picture, I'm throwing grass.  Because I'm cool like that.

This next one is the envelope she decorated for my card.  At the top of the envelope, she has a booboo and is crying, and I'm putting a band aid on it.  If you look closely, you can see our super awesome Lady Gaga hair.  The next picture, it doesn't get better and she's still crying so I give her a hug.  The squiggly lines are her long flowing hair.  Lastly, she has two hearts- one for me and one for Daddy.  There are check marks after her sentences- she said it was her list she was checking off.

I hope your Mother's Day was as special as mine- whether you are a mommy, son, daughter, grandma, pet owner (because you are a mommy to your pets), or thinking of a special woman in your life or remembering your own mother.

Did you do anything special this weekend?

Awww too cute! My 7yo brought me buttered toast in bed. It was very sweet.

Other than that we were fending off injuries or sicknesses. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing day anytime now.

Aww how cute! I'll bet it just warms your heart to see the things your child creates. I don't have kids yet, but I love to see all the stuff my nephew brings home to my sister in law! Adorable (and often, very hilarious).

Adorable! I just got store-bought music cards that the child sat and played with for the rest of the day!

That's too funny! Amazing the things that little one pull out of their little minds (now that makes me sound a bit aged, doesn't it?). Happy belated mother's day to you as well. :)

So cute! I got a nice poem from my son, and then we went swimming at my Mom's house. It was a nice day.

Seriously why is Little Monster so freaking cute! Glad you finally figured out what the second picture in the first card meant.

And the checklist... is your daughter detail oriented perhaps??

You look really good for 45 ;)

My husband bought me flowers. Great kid artwork, by the way. The long hair rocks!

Those are precious! My mother's day was perfect! My 5yo made me a jar/vase at school and it's gorgeous. Then he and my hubby snuck out on Saturday morning to buy dirt and flowers to fill it with. He attached a lovely card for me too! Plus, the weather was gorgeous! Christy

She's so cute!!! If you're 45, I wonder how old I would be? I love when kids guess at their parents age. I had a kid ask me how old I was in class once...when I told him that I was almost 40, he said, "Whoa! That's older than my MOM!" I didn't call on him the rest of the class and his team just happened to lose. But I swear it because the other team earned the win.
