A Ravenclaw at Platform 9 3/4

My sis and I at Platform 9/34 at
Kings Cross Station in London in 2007
Apparently I'm a full-blooded muggle because I smashed into the wall face first.  Either that or Dobby REALLY didn't want us to come to Hogwarts.  Most likely because he heard I had devoured Twilight in one sitting.  (I swear, Dobby, even though I'm just slightly team Edward, I am Team Harry ALL THE WAY! I PROMISE!)  Bella's incessant whining and stuttering, Edward's weird displays of affections (i.e. staring creepily at her while she slept) and Jacob's excessive shirt-ripping have NOTHING on the courageous Harry, Ron, and Hermione!

Tell me friends, have you ever wanted to know what house you'd be in if you went to Hogwarts?  This quiz has been around for a while, and if you haven't taken it yet, you probably a) live in a cave or b) hate HP.  In which case, if you chose b, you can just leave.  Now.  Buh-bye.

Okay, now that we have the TRUE fans (and those of you who live in caves)... take the quiz!  I just love this one.  It is pretty much spot on, in my opinion.

The sorting hat says that I belong in Ravenclaw!

Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose intelligence is surest."
Ravenclaw students tend to be clever, witty, intelligent, and knowledgeable.
Notable residents include Cho Chang and Padma Patil (objects of Harry and Ron's affections), and Luna Lovegood (daughter of The Quibbler magazine's editor).

Tell me what your house would be and if you think it fits you!

And now for the sad news:  I won't be seeing the midnight showing :(  In fact, I won't be seeing it until sometime next week when the stars align and hubs and I actually have a consecutive 4 hours off together AND a babysitter can be found.  So those of you going tonight- I am SO jealous!  I can't wait to see what everyone thinks on Friday!

Excuse me while I go and cry into my pillow because it all ends tonight!!

Don't forget to visit my Pottermania friends to see what they have to say today!

Cool! I had no idea they actually put a 9/34 in there. Another reason to visit London. Now, where can I take this sorting hat quiz?

Never mind. The link was right in front of me. Time to get sorted!

I love that picture!

I won't be going to the midnight showing, but I couldn't stop my opening day streak. We bought tix for 6:45pm... not too shabby. Getting a babysitter during the summer seems 100x more difficult, doesn't it?

There, there, my sister Ravenclaw. Take our house's analytical approach to your film viewing delay. You won't have to be crammed into a crowded theater full of wiggly kids. You can see the film when you're fully awake. And above all, you are training your character in the art of patience, needful for success in any endeavor.

We're not seeing the film until Saturday for the same reasons as you. Especially the babysitting! In the grand scope of the universe, what's a few days, really? We will be the HP fans who lived (a few days wait to see 7.2)! {{hugs}}

I can't believe that I am also a Ravenclaw! I always had myself pegged as a Gryffindor.

At least I'd get to be in the same house as my beautiful and talented wife!

Looks like you had an amazing time! Love the picture!

I'm in Hufflepuff House, which is what I knew I would be! I'm neither clever nor brave nor power-hungry, but I'm a hardworker and extremely loyal, so yes I think it fits me well!

Hopefully my husband and I will see the movie on Sunday. I haven't gotten tickets yet though, so that's why I say hopefully! The opening weekend tickets will probably sell out really fast. Gotta get on that!

Hey, Abby,

These tests are so fun/funny. I must be a difficult boy to sort, Half the tests put me in Ravenclaw and the other Hufflepuff. Personally I fit more in Ravenclaw, I'm smart and always hung out with well read and intelligent people. LOL.

I took a test yesterday and it was a tie between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Then I took this quiz and I was in Gryffindor. I think the sorting hat is confused. ;)

I definitely want to visit King's Cross when I get over to England (hopefully next year!).

Every time I do those quizzes I always end up in Ravenclaw. So, I guess that would be my house! :)

I'm so jealous! I want to go to King's Cross Station! I definitely would have slammed myself into the wall when no one was looking. ;)

Oh, and I'm joining you in Ravenclaw. Not a surprise to me. I'm as type A as they come. Although, I was only one point away from being a Hufflepuff, so I guess I've got a little Susan Bones in me.

Okay, so you finally convinced me to take the test. Here are the results:
Gryffindor: 70
Ravenclaw: 83
Hufflepuff: 84
Slytherin: 49

I agree that it was totally Dobby's fault. Give him a sock or something and next time he will let you through. Looks like I am headed to Ravenclaw.

I won't be seeing the movie until it comes out on DVD. Then I'll have a HP movie marathon with hubby.
