It is with a heavy heart I tell you that I am shaving my blogging schedule. I just can't keep up with everything that needs to be done, and my WIP and crit partners' manuscripts have to be my top priority (besides family and work, obvs.). I just can't dedicate the amount of time needed for blogging.
So I'm reducing my blogging to twice a week, mostly Mondays and Thursdays. I will blog in between if there is a blogfest, or if there is something I absolutely have to tell you. But I feel like that would work better with my schedule.
This also means that I'll probably only religiously read blogs on Mondays and Thursdays. The rest of the week I'll play catch up and do what I can, because I love reading your blogs so much! But between giving Little Monster the attention she needs, giving my WIP the attention it/she/he (totally gender neutral on that) needs, and giving my crit partners the attention THEY need (dude, they're so needy), going to work 27 hours a week, and actually keeping my house above sanitation codes, I just can't do it all. Unfortunately it's my blogging that will suffer.
I still love you guys so much- you are what makes this blog run. Without you, I'd just be a lonely writer talking to a brick wall (or computer screen in this case). You make me feel all warm and squishy inside when I know you're reading (or it could be the 5 pounds of cookie dough I just ate). Either way, you brighten my day, just knowing you're there, hovering and reading (but not in a creepy stalkerish way) So please don't hate me because I can't read your blog every day. I will honestly try to keep up when I can.
I promise when I'm done with my edits for my WIP and feel like I can come back to a more frequent schedule, I'm totally back to my M/W/F posts.

I hear you. I've had to cut back on blogging too. Hopefully we'll still be able to connect every once in awhile.
Good luck with your writing! I hope the break serves you well.
Monday and Thursday is my blogging schedule, too. Such underrated days. Good luck with everything. We understand. Do what must be done :)
Needy...I'll remember that ;)
Seems like a lot of people have had to cut back lately! Writing comes first!!!
Good luck with writing! :P
Totally understandable! I've been considering this, too... (yeah - M-F blogging thing? Soooo hard!) Best of luck with your writing, edits and critiques! Hope it all runs smooth, seamless, just like you need it to. :)
It's okay, we'll still be here for you. :)
I understand! I REALLY need to cut back my online time if I ever hope to finish revisions on the sequel to my book. Need to do it before the A to Z Challenge starts!
I can totally understand. Making promises that we can keep is a good thing. So good job.

Hey, totally no prob. We're all busy writerly types too, with real lives on the side. Blog posting twice a week is enough--I only do it once a week! I wish more writers/people would cut down to 2-3 posts a week, so we'd ALL have more time. ;o)
I think you're doing the right thing. And I'm not just saying that because I'm one of your needy Crit peeps. ;-) Two days a week is more than enough at the moment!
I can definitely relate. It's tough to balance everything, and keeping up with blogging can definitely take up a good chunk of your time. You're doing the right thing, though. Your fam, work, and of course writing should come first. :)
I totally understand. I probably should shave my schedule but I said I was going to post three times a week as a new years goal. I don't want to fail at my goals this year (like I do most years).
I hope your revision goes well and your cp's aren't too needy :P
Word!! (er) There's two of us and we are so thankful for that.
Good luck, girl, on all your posts. Little Monster will be so happy with all of your extra time.
And I totally plan to blog on the schedule of the blogger time on Friday. But I fear I won't have time (if not then, soon, gah!).

Very sensible. Good luck with the WIP etc. :O)
You gotta do what you gotta do! Writing should always come first, and we all understand that. We'll be here waiting for your posts!
It's hard to keep a balance! I struggle with it, too. We totally understand!
I totally had to do this a few months back. I cut it down from three days to one. It was hard to do, but it can be overwhelming. I still find myself in the blogging world and posting a couple of days a week, but I at least don't feel the pressure of getting something posted in time.
Good luck with everything. Have fun with your little monster :) I'll see you around on Monday's and Thursday's!
